Hello, my name is Nathan, I’m 29 and I live in beautiful city called Albany which is south of Perth in Western Australia. Some of my hobbies are playing sport, heading to the beach and catching up with friends. I play cricket for Mt Barker Cricket Club in the Albany & Districts Cricket Association, I also play for the Albany & Districts Association and Western Australian Country XI representative sides and I’ve also had the privilege to play two seasons in the United Kingdom. I play as an Allrounder in these sides opening the bowling and batted at the top of the order. One of my recent cricket achievements I look back on fondly is being named in the All-Australian Country XI side alongside my brother (Julian) after the Australian Country Championships tournament in Canberra last January. This was the second time I had been named in the All-Australian side, but it was the first time sharing it with Julian which was very special.

The main reason I chose Quick Cricket Club for the upcoming season is I was impressed with Job (van Bunge, red.) and Henk’s (Mol, red.) vision for the club and the environment they are building at Quick. I’ve had a bit to do with Job in Australia and he’s a smooth operator so I’m looking forward to working with him this Summer.

From what I saw from last year, we weren’t far away. Hopefully, we can build on that momentum and go one step further this year.

My role at Quick next year will be a hybrid coaching/playing role, I’ll be down the club most days so I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone on the training track.

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, learning about your culture and getting involved at the club, exploring The Hague and surrounds with my partner Ellen and of course I’ve been told only good things about the King’s Day celebration!
